鲁思·列维塔斯 英国著名社会学家，布里斯托尔大学社会学系教授，欧洲乌托邦学会创始人之一、前任主席，威廉·莫里斯学会副主席。1949年生于英国伦敦，1979年起任教于布里斯托尔大学社会学系，曾担任该系主任。列维塔斯的乌托邦研究涵盖乌托邦思想史、乌托邦社会理论、乌托邦与音乐多个主题，在国际学界享有盛誉，其代表作《乌托邦之概念》（1990/2010）被视为当代乌托邦研究的基石。她在当代政治意识形态和话语、社会不平等、劳工等研究领域亦卓有建树，著有《包容性社会？社会排斥与新工党》（1998/2005）。2012年获北美乌托邦学会莱曼·托尔·萨金特杰出成就奖。
